City Highlight Day Three: The City by the Bay, San Francisco.

Chamin Mills, creator of 4sqdaySF and the Marketing and Events Manager for Pacific Catch restaurants, will be hosting their third annual 4sqDay “Swarm” event April 16th at Pacific Catch on 9th Ave.

Pacific Catch restaurants were early adopters of Foursquare and they were one of the first to jump on board when @nateBW suggested his creative 4sqday 4/16 idea back in March 2010.

“We are always looking for creative, current, economical, marketing tools that support our efforts to reach out and engage with our guests in real time. Foursquare, used in conjunction with Twitter, allows us to do that.   We are also located in areas where potential new guests or tourists unfamiliar with the city may be “exploring” on Foursquare.  Many of these Foursquare components help us reach new customers and retain loyal customers. Celebrating Foursquare Day is an extension of these objectives by bringing the guest engagement experience full circle in a fun creative way..and who doesn’t love a good party.” – Chamin Mills

Last year, San Francisco had the 6th most attendees for 4sqDay 2011 and raised $6K for Tsunami relief. This year Chamin foresees a greater turn out and will be raising money for the San Francisco & Marin Food Bank.  “Community is important to Foursquare, therefore we feel giving back to the community should be the focus of an event that celebrates all things Foursquare”.
